Bull Shoals Lake

About Us

Pontiac Cove Marina: Pontiac, Missouri, United States; Joe and Alice Morgan bought Pontiac Cove Marina in 1964. They started out with a small store, featuring mainly fishing tackle and bait. They had a few boat slips and fishing boats to rent. Fishing was the main reason folks came to Bull Shoals back then, and it continues to be a very popular pastime. But the purpose for spending time on the lake has evolved. Boating, swimming, scuba diving, water skiing, wakeboarding and sailing are a few of the many reasons people visit Bull Shoals each year. Joe and Alice had two sons, Tim and Dan. Tim bought the business May 1, 1978. He grew the business to what it is today: a thriving operation with approximately 280 boat slips, pontoon and fishing boat rentals, a scuba air station, fuel dock, and a store that sells fishing licenses, bait, tackle, boating accessories and toys, souvenirs, beer, soda, snacks and more. Tim and his wife, Johnna, own Pontiac Cove Marina today. Their daughter, Jabet, and her husband, Matt Wade, moved to Pontiac in early 2006. Jabet now manages the marina, while Matt works as a land surveyor at Ozark Country Land Surveying. (Joe passed away in 1983; Alice in 2000.)
