3rd Annual Verne D. Cubbage Memorial Fishing Tournament. Take off at 7 a.m. from PCM. Weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. at PCM. $100 entry fee; $10 per boat for Big Bass pot. Winners receive cash prizes; a portion of the proceeds will go to Gainesville High School's extracurricular activities programs. Pizza buffet afterward at Just Jackie's.
